The Nonspeakers’ Salon

White woman holding a letter board while a white man wearing headphones and sunglasses points to letters to craft his next comment.

Right now my heart is full. Strongly want to say that the Nonspeakers’ Salon is my proudest accomplishment. Just being in the same room with so many other spellers who love poetry is a joy. Then, add in the fact that no one has to mask their stims, and that people are willing to be honest about our challenges and fears, while staying hopeful and humorous – this is my Beloved Community, to use Dr. King’s words.
